Yes, you will need to call your county environmental health department to apply for your well permit. There are several steps involved in getting your new well permit. In most cases you can locate your well where you want it as long as it meets local requirements. If I have no water at my house does it mean I need to have a new well drilled?
No you should contact Valley Drilling, to have a professional technician evaluate your well. Many of our no water service calls are fixed with just minor repairs, to the well system
How long does it take to drill a new well?
Once we arrive on site the typical well can be drilled in 2 – 5 days depending on site conditions and weather
How deep will my new well be?
We do not know how deep your well will be until the drilling process is started and water is found in ample supply. The average well depth is 200’ – 500’ in the area, although some wells are much deeper.
Once the drilling of my well is finished can I now use the well?
No, drilling is but one step in getting your new well up and running. You will need to have a pump installed, the well hooked up to electricity, { we have done some solar powered wells} and a water test done by a state certified lab to make sure the water is potable.

How do I know if I will need Iron filtration or some other form of water treatment?
After your well is drilled, and your pump is installed, we will gladly test your water for mineral content, if a concern is found in testing we will make a recommendation as to how to eliminate these concerns.
